He may not have a map, but he’s got determination, a whole lot of heart, and a strong preference for any berry-flavoured gelato — yes, that’s a flavour.
Who Is Boopee, Really?
Boopee isn’t your average storybook cat. He doesn’t wear trousers. He doesn’t solve crimes — does he? And he definitely doesn’t play the saxophone. But he does stop and wonder at everything in his path. Whether it's a log, a street sign, or a suspiciously placed pair of boots — Boopee takes it all in stride, one leap, duck, or zigzag at a time. Think of him as the gentle soul of MeowGardens: always exploring, always learning, and always just a little bit sticky by the end of the day.
The First Adventure: Boopee, Look!
In Boopee’s very first story, Boopee, Look!, it’s a sunny day in MeowGardens, and Boopee is on an important mission: to get to the gelateria. He likes any berry flavour, as long as it’s cold and sweet and definitely not on his nose (oops — spoilers!).
But the path isn’t as simple as it sounds. A muddy puddle? Boopee, jump over it. A tyre? Double jump, obviously. Buckets, logs, signs, and a particularly nosy hopscotch? Boopee deals with them all in his own playful way — with plenty of action, rhythm, and a helping of curiosity.
Each spread features a new obstacle and a gentle prompt — “Boopee, look!” — helping children engage with what’s coming next. They’ll guess, point, jump along, and maybe even shout a little advice as Boopee navigates the unexpected.
But Wait — What’s That in His Nose?
Just when you think the adventure’s done and it’s time for a scoop of something berrylicious, Boopee’s final challenge appears... right on his face. “Boopee, look! What is that in your nose?” Don’t worry, it’s just gelato. Possibly any berry.
Why Boopee Matters
